Peer Advisers graduate at HMP Downview

On 13 of June a graduation ceremony was held at HMP Downview for women prisoners who have recently completed their Bell Foundation funded Peer Adviser training with St Giles Trust.

The women have been acquired a vocational qualification which will enable them to provide advice and guidance to fellow prisoners who are foreign nationals. Having the qualification will also be beneficial to the women’s’ job prospects on their release, as it is a sought after qualification amongst community organisations which work with ex-offenders.
