Adaptive Teaching for Learners Who Use EAL (Online Course)

This online course provides guidance on how you can adapt your teaching to meet the language development needs of pupils who use EAL.

This online course equips practitioners to adapt teaching in a responsive way to meet the language development needs of pupils who use EAL alongside curriculum learning. The course introduces a range of easy-to-use strategies that participants can implement immediately into their teaching while maintaining high expectations of all pupils.

This three-module course is designed to work around the busy lives of teaching staff working in international schools. With a minimum of five hours of online study over a four-week period, the course enables participants to work at a manageable pace with plenty of time to process course content and consider relevance to their context. The course is designed to be highly interactive and collaborative, with opportunities to work with other course participants, course tutors and course material. Module two consists of a live webinar with opportunities to ask questions and learn from and with each other in real time.

A certificate will be awarded for successful completion of the course.

Course dates: 26 April – 26 May 2023.

Ticket sales end Wednesday 19 April 2023 at 4pm UK time (UTC +1).
