This webinar explores how classroom practitioners can create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for new to English learners.
This webinar will explore practical ways in which primary teachers and teaching assistants can create a learning environment which is socially, academically, and linguistically inclusive. We will consider strategies, many of which require minimal preparation, that will ensure that new arrivals, including those who are new to English, can meaningfully participate in and make contributions to all aspects of school life; both social and academic
Emily Curran joined The Bell Foundation as a trainer in September 2018. Prior to joining The Bell Foundation, Emily worked in English Language Teaching (ELT) and taught both adults and young learners in the UK and Thailand respectively, before going on to become a teacher trainer in the ELT sector. Emily has a CELTA and DELTA and has also worked closely with Cambridge Refugee Resettlement Campaign (CRRC) as a liaison for the English Language Provision.
