Whole-school solution for your EAL provision
Language for Results International is a whole-school programme for international schools, which has been designed for, and tailored to, the specific needs of international schools. It is a complete programme of professional learning designed to improve the attainment of plurilingual learners who use English as an Additional Language (EAL) in international settings.
Language for Results International consists of five components:
Evidence-informed, tutor-led courses which accommodate fluctuating patterns of staff turnover and cater for different roles, experiences and learning needs of school staff.
An accreditation scheme for international schools to demonstrate the quality of their EAL provision. It supports international schools to evaluate, develop and improve their leadership and educational provision for plurilingual pupils who use English as an Additional Language.
A webinar programme for international school staff which aims to raise awareness and inspire learning through exploring current research, and pedagogy related to EAL provision in international education.
The award-winning EAL Assessment Framework for Schools and digital EAL Assessment Tracker, together with guidance on their use in international schools.
Resources are available to support the teaching and development of plurilingual learners who use EAL within international schools. A broad range of resources for different subjects, levels of proficiency in English as well as different student ages are available.

How does our whole-school EAL programme work?
By booking the whole-school programme, schools can benefit from all five components of Language for Results International including online courses, accreditation, free webinars, assessment tools and resources. The programme has been designed to run over a period of 12-18 months so that schools have the necessary time to engage with online course content deeply and critically, and apply or adapt relevant insights to their contexts before moving on to accreditation.
In the first stage, participating schools have the option of enrolling their staff on any relevant courses from our annual programme. Our courses are aimed at different roles and levels of experience within a primary or secondary international school, including teaching assistants, newly qualified and experienced teachers, EAL co-ordinators and school leaders. Once staff have completed the training, the school will then move directly on to Accreditation by Language for Results International (ALFRI).
If you have any questions or would like to book the whole-school programme, please email international@bell-foundation.org.uk.
What is the price of the whole-school programme?
The price is dependent on the number of course places booked. Discounts are available for schools booking greater volumes of participants. Please email international@bell-foundation.org.uk for more information.
