Animal Classes
This is a jigsaw activity for the whole class, looking at different classes of animals. It can be used for classes including EAL learners who are New to English and those who are Fluent.

Animal classes
Learners are first placed in groups looking at one particular class of animal, then re-oganised into jigsaw groups where they pool their knowledge in order to sort animals into appropriate classes. There are clues provided, consisting of shorter more accessible descriptions, so those who need more support can join in with the rest of the class.
