These resource packs for Geography contain activities to help KS3/KS4 EAL learners understand and use language connected to UK rock types. The activities will help EAL learners describe the characterstics of the most common rock types, explain how they are formed and compare their properties and uses.
Part 1 contains rock type flashcards, loop game cards with key vocab definitions and a collaborative dictation activity.
Part 2 contains rock location flashcards, a graphic organiser, an accompanying barrier game as well as substitution tables to help describing rock types and their distribution.
