The resource includes two sets of differentiated texts, visual word mats and an information gap activity. The first set of texts is adapted for band A-B learners and the second for band C-D learners. Both texts provide opportunities for all learners to actively listen to a part of the story and to work collaboratively in order to ask and answer questions and complete a collaborative group task together. Later they change groups to recall the story and complete a further collaborative information gap task.
The texts provided are based on the many versions of Jack and the Beanstalk available and have been written by the author of this resource.
