The Black Death in Europe

This resource contains two information exchange activities to support EAL learners in talking and writing about the spread of the Black Death through Europe.

There is a barrier game where a pair of learners exchange information about the year and season that the Black Death arrived in eight European cities and use this to note down the information on a map.

The second item is a jigsaw activity where learners work in a small group looking at information about some of the main reasons the disease spread and then compare notes with learners who have been working in a different group.
