This set provides striking and stimulating images, in preparation for the GCSE exam, in which candidates are required to respond to and write about images. The resources provide models of descriptive writing, for learners to analyse and introduce multilingual learners to the subject language they need as they create imagery, in the form of similes. The resources provide vocabulary that learners can use and recycle, to embed their understanding.

This set of resources, which is the second part of a two-part pack, provides strategies to support learners in KS3 to undertake the writing process as they create descriptive writing. This set provides additional images for learners to respond to and devise pieces of creative writing. Question prompts and sentence starters take learners step by step through the writing process and collaborative work enables learners at different levels of English proficiency to contribute to creating paragraphs, using suggested vocabulary.
