Toni Fazaeli

Toni has worked in further and adult education for over 30 years, including as an inspector, a senior civil servant, a local authority adviser, a teacher and as chief executive of a national professional body for teachers. She has been very active in governance of further education colleges, and is involved in All Souls Group at the University of Oxford and in judging the King's Anniversary Higher and Further Education Prize. Toni has been in charities for many years, and 12 years ago co-founded an innovative charity focusing on learning opportunities for older people in care homes and was chair for nine years, and is now their patron. Toni is a visiting Professor at the University of Wolverhampton in lifelong learning. She has taught English, humanities and social science subjects in prisons, as well as schools and further and higher education. Toni is dedicated to the power of high-quality learning making a difference for people, especially for those who are marginalised in our society. Toni, as a lifelong learner herself, is studying BA Fine Art part time.
