Developing Effective EAL Provision: The Journey to Quality (Webinar)

This webinar will feature a panel of international school leaders sharing how they have implemented outstanding EAL provision at their schools.

The process of developing high quality and impactful EAL provision is vital for international schools which are seeing an overall increase in the number of plurilingual pupils using EAL. This webinar features a panel discussion facilitated by Silvana Richardson from The Bell Foundation with Jacob Huckle (Dulwich College Suzhou) and Liam Mernagh (formerly of Oryx International School, Doha; currently of Doha English Speaking School) about their experiences working with The Bell Foundation to enhance EAL provision.

By hearing first-hand accounts of how different schools have approached the challenges of bringing the best out of their plurilingual learners, participants will come away with practical ideas and inspiration they can apply in their own setting. The webinar will also include a Q&A section where participants can pose questions to the panellists.

Areas of focus will include:

  • Approaches to developing inclusive leadership for EAL;
  • Ways to encourage a whole-school approach to EAL provision;
  • Methods for collecting and using data about plurilingual learners;
  • Implementing consistent assessment for EAL throughout your school.
