Courses are designed to develop the expertise and confidence of school practitioners so they can provide impactful support for learners who use EAL.

Centres of Expertise train and support schools in areas of high need, usually where there are significant numbers of EAL learners and limited access to existing EAL training and support.
Free webinars provide those who work with learners who use EAL with direct access to expertise in EAL research, policy and pedagogy.
The Foundation provides a calendar of training opportunities including online, blended and face-to-face courses, as well as webinars.
These practical resources enhance EAL provision in schools and include our award-winning EAL Assessment Framework for Schools with digital EAL Assessment Tracker.
Research is commissioned to build the evidence of the factors that impact on the outcomes and attainment for pupils who use EAL, and to provide practical recommendations for policy-makers and schools.
