This set of resources allows learners to explore the meaning of the Seamus Heaney’s poem entitled ‘Mid-Term Break’. This resource pack includes a variety of activities designed to look at the vocabulary and at a particular poetic device.
Many of the activities, including a ‘Find the connection’ task, a card-sort to order the stanzas, and a storyboard to encourage collaborative learning, and a range of visuals make this an attractive resource. It could be used with the whole class; the language-focused activities will be good for everyone, not just the EAL learners.
