River landscapes in the UK (3) – River formations and processes

A set of collaborative activities which support EAL learners in developing their understanding of river formations, and in particular waterfalls.

This is the third of three sets of Geography resources developed to supplement teaching on River Landscapes in the UK at GCSE. The folder comprises a barrier activity, gap-fill activity, DARTs activity and finally a dictogloss activity which culminates in writing an exam response. As well as supporting the learner with understanding of concepts, the resources focus on the language structures needed to respond to exam questions. These resources could be used with whole classes or with smaller groups.
