Part 1 of 2 of a pack of resources providing support for writing a newspaper article in KS2. Part 1 focuses on how to write an opening sentence using the 5W question words, ‘who, what, when, where and why’.
Part 1 contains activities for how to locate information in the opening sentence of a newspaper article and how to construct a similar opening sentence using the 5W question words, ‘who, what, when, where, and why’. Activities include vocabulary development, playing with word order and a talk to write activity.
