EAL Coordinators: Leading EAL in your school (Face to Face Regional Training)
This course is for practitioners who are tasked with leading the EAL provision in their school, in a role such as ‘EAL coordinator’ or ‘EAL lead’. It is a highly
practical course with participants expected to consider EAL provision in their own school.
In the session, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Explore roles and responsibilities in leading EAL;
- Understand EAL provision in your school, including key procedures:
- An EAL policy
- Admissions and inclusions;
- Assessment, target-setting and tracking
- Explore the integration of EAL across the school, including:
- Collaborating with colleagues;
- Families and the wider community;
- A culture of inclusion and equity;
- Teaching and Learning.
