Policy recommendations summary

The Bell Foundation has eight policy recommendations to support children who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) at school.

Recommendations include:

  • Address the EAL policy vacuum as a priority
  • Assess English proficiency
  • Train teachers for multilingual classrooms
