Connect 4 boards are provided at two levels, and there are also three sets of flashcards for a matching activity.

The first Connect 4 game requires learners to identify characters from the play from some basic information, e.g. ‘He is Miranda’s father.’ The second more challenging Connect 4 game involves identifying who said key quotes from the text.

The flashcards give an opportunity for learners to match the same key quotes with a version in modern English, or to match the modern version with the name of the character. This is a highly versatile resource that can be used in a wide variety of ways with learners at different levels of English language acquisition.
