EAL Coordinators: Leading EAL in Your School (Online Regional Training)

This course is for practitioners who are tasked with leading the EAL provision in their school, in a role such as EAL Coordinator or EAL Lead. It is a highly practical course with participants expected to consider EAL provision in their own school.

In the session, participants will have the opportunity to:

Explore roles and responsibilities in leading EAL;

Understand EAL provision in your school, including key procedures:

An EAL policy
Admissions and inclusions
Assessment, target-setting and tracking

Explore the integration of EAL across the school, including:

Collaborating with colleagues;
Families and the wider community;
A culture of inclusion and equity;
Teaching and Learning.
