National Year of Reading: what does it mean for multilingual learners in your school? (Webinar)

We’re very excited to be supporting and participating in the National Year of Reading 2026. Join us to explore reading with multilingual learners.

This webinar is the launch of The Bell Foundation’s programme for multilingual learners and the National Year of Reading. Throughout 2026 we will share resources, provide guidance and a training focus, and participate in ‘Go All In’ national reading celebrations, to boost reading for learning and pleasure, as part of EAL provision.

This webinar is an opportunity for schools to gather perspectives, information, and inspiration for their literacy work in multilingual classrooms.

During the webinar we will hear from The National Literacy Trust about the campaign, and from specialists in the field about their work with multilingual children and young people. Speakers will share how schools can celebrate and strengthen multilingual learners’ reading in all the languages they use, to build engaged, confident, lifelong readers.
